Can you Keep a (Hair) Secret?

Hey there, My hair is very important to me so taking care of it is one of my priorities. Over the years I discovered ways to treat better my hair. So in this post, I’ll share all my secrets to achieve/maintain healthy hair. WASH DAYS Chose natural hair products, especially shampoo (check the post about the products I use). Pre-shampoo your hair. A couple of hours before you plan to take a shower, apply a pre-shampoo or coconut oil to your hair and leave it to absorb the product. Don’t dry towel the hair (it’ll ruin it). Use detangling spray to facilitate brushing and to avoid hair loss (check the post). When brushing after the shower (especially…

    September Favourites

Hey there, I can’t believe September is gone. Time is running so fast that in a blink of an eye is going to be Christmas already (I wouldn’t mind though). Lately I’ve been very busy with work, however, I still manage to test some new products. So in today’s post, I’ll show you my favourites. L’oreal tinted lip oil – This is the perfect product for the colder days ahead. If you’re like me and your lips get extra dry, you need to try this lip oil. The colour that I have is called the sugar plum. It gives a subtle pink colour to the lips, which makes it perfect…

Made in Portugal: Viana do Castelo

Hey there! A couple of weeks ago I visited an amazing city in the north of Portugal – Viana do Castelo. It wasn’t my first time there but it was my first time properly exploring it. The day was really nice (actually too hot) which helped to capture the city charm. Viana is a historical city with a long coastline and the mouth of the Lima river. The city has an old traditional connection to the sea and it was involved in the Portuguese Discoveries. This resulted in a rich heritage like palaces, churches, monasteries and monumental fountains that are present all over the city with stunning architecture. Hope you…

    My Favourite Drugstore Concealers

Hey there! Concealer is one of the most important steps on my make-up because I do have dark circles, a lot of blemishes and a couple of freckles (that normally become more intense during summer). I know there are out there amazing reviews about high-end concealers (I have loads on my list). However, they’re expensive, so I’m always looking for drugstore dupes that may work as well. Here are some that I’ve been trying recently.     Revolution Conceal & Correct – I got the colours C4 and C5. When I was in the store I planned to get a light shade and a dark shade among the shades available…

    My Favourite Dry Shampoo

Hey there, I can’t live without a dry shampoo. If you’ve never tried them before…believe me, you need them in your life. It’ll save you time and your hair. Yes hair, because we’re not supposed to wash it every single day. Recently I’ve been testing different dry shampoos and now I’m sharing with you my opinion about them. Normally I tend to select the darker version (if it’s available) to avoid white powder residue on my roots. So, here are the brands I’ve tried:   Superdrug cocoa brownie This product was never on my wish list. I went to Superdrug looking for the Batiste dry shampoo and it was out of stock. The…

    August Favourites

Hey there, For the first September post, I’ve decided to nominate my favourite products of last month. Since I was on holidays, some of the product I’ll mention are summer related, but I also included some fashion items, snacks, a board game and make-up. Hope you like my list.     Riemann P20 – This product was recommended by a friend and it’s amazing for holidays. If you’re like me and hate to apply sunscreen on the beach because you don’t like to be all sticky, this product is perfect for you. It’s SPF 20, but you can find higher protection as well, and you just need one application. Yes, only ONE.…

    How to Achieve Healthy Hair

Hey there, Shampoo and masque are important products in a hair care routine (you can check my routine here.). However, from my experience, they’re not enough, mainly because I wash my hair 1 to 2 times a week which means that between washes it becomes dry. So, recently I’ve been including new products to my routine and I’ve noticed amazing changes. It looks healthy, sleek and I don’t remember the last time I had split ends. So in today’s post, I’ll share with you my favourite products that I’ve incorporated into my routine to achieve healthy hair.     As I’ve mentioned above I don’t wash my hair every day. On…

    What’s in my Bag

Hey there, One of the posts I like to read in other blogs is the “What’s in my bag”. I think it’s interesting to see what other people carry with them because you may get to know that person better after seeing what it’s in their bags. So I’ve decided to do that today. I’m normally that type of person that wants to carry the whole house in the bag if that was possible. I struggle a lot to be more minimalist and at the end, my bag is always heavy. Not forgetting the fact that it’s always hard to find anything in it.     Here are the items I…

    DIY: Recipe Book

Hey there, Cooking is one of my favourite things to do. So, I like searching for new recipes and especially create new ones. However, since I keep forgetting them, mainly the ones I create, I had the idea of making my own recipe book. This way I can document the best ones in one place. I know there are amazing recipe books out there but I feel like they’re too big, or too complex in terms of layout and sometimes the space to write is not enough. So making my own book allow me to have more freedom in what I write and the way I organize the information. Also,…

    My Favourite Foundation

Hey there, Recently I’ve been trying different foundations and on today’s post I’ll talk about what did and did not work for me. They’re mainly drugstore foundation because I really like to find a good and cheap gem. I tried all the foundations for a long period of time (which explains why some of the bottles in the photos are empty) and as part of my make-up routine. In other words, I would apply the foundation after my skincare (check the post) and before the pressed powder.     Starting with the foundations that didn’t work so well. One of them is the Revlon colourstay foundation. I had good expectations on…
